Our Story

It all started in 1953; nestled in the rolling hills of lush, green grass in Northeast Missouri…

Imogene moved to Northeast Missouri to practice as a large animal veterinarian as soon as she earned her DVM from the University of Missouri. Kenny was already raising cattle in the area and in desperate need of professional help during an unusually harsh calving season. Imogene and Kenny worked together to ensure the calf crop was not a total loss for the year. After many, many hours together working with cattle, Kenny and Imogene began to date.

As they grew closer and fell more in love every day, they continued to do what they had a passion for, raising cattle. In 1993, Kenny and Imogene tied the knot forever and officially became the 2nd generation here at Latimer Farms. Kenny and Imogene do everything they can to serve the area in any possible way.

In 2001, Kirby joined the world and quickly fell in love with the cattle and ranch he was raised on. Kirby began his own herd at the mere age of 6 when his parents gifted him his first cow. He has continually fueled his deep rooted passion for cattle ever since. Kirby and his forever best friend, Paige Isensee, are the 3rd generation here at Latimer Farms and continually strive to make cutting edge improvements and promote the best animal health and welfare practices.

Kirby is currently in veterinary medical school at the University of Missouri pursuing a DVM, just like his mother. Post graduation, Kirby plans to return to Northeast Missouri to serve the food animal producers for decades to come.

Paige graduated from the University of Missouri in May of 2024 with her DVM and now works for the University of Missouri Food Animal Medicine and Surgery department serving food animal producers across the state of Missouri and those surrounding.

The LF team works together to own and manage both a spring and a fall calving herd here at Latimer Farms. The entire crew prides themselves on using the best science, genetics, and medicine have to offer to raise healthy and happy cattle for you to enjoy.

Meet Our Team Members

Meet Kirby

Kirby is the 3rd generation here at Latimer Farms and has been heavily involved in all things LF, since he was a child. Kirby attended the University of Missouri for undergrad, and elected to stay at Mizzou for vet school. He plans to earn his DVM in May of 2026. In the meantime, he works very hard to balance the rigorous course load of vet school and raise Latimer Farms cattle. Post-graduation, he plans to return to Northeast Missouri to serve the area as a food animal veterinarian while continuing to run Latimer Farms.

Kirby works very closely with Paige to help with all sales, social media, marketing, and cattle work.

Meet Paige

Paige is orignally from rural Minnesota. She attended undergrad in Wisconsin and spent much of her free time in South Dakota. Her passion for the cattle industry has pulled her all over the country over the past decade allowing her to gain a deep knowledge base when it comes to all things cattle. She graduated from the University of Missouri with her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in May of 2024.

Paige handles all of our marketing, social media, and sales here at Latimer Farms, in addition to helping out with any and all cattle work.

Meet Kenny

The roots of Latimer Farms start with Kenny. He has dedicated his life to the animals here at Latimer Farms. He prides himself on building a team who cares for the cattle and continues to put animal health and welfare first. He spends his days doing chores, doctoring cattle, and managing the herd and land throughout the year.

Some of Kenny's favorite times at the ranch are when he gets to work cattle with his wife, Imogene, his son, Kirby, and Kirby's girlfriend, Paige.

Meet Imogene

Imogene officially joined Latimer Farms in 1993 when she married Kenny. They have enjoyed building up their herd with lots of love and compassion over the years.

Imogene spends her days doing chores, doctoring cattle, and keeping our records up-to-date throughout the year in addition to serving Northeast Missouri as a production animal veterinarian. She is the glue to the operation.
